Challenge
The client required a fully operational event site to be delivered within a constrained timeframe, on a non-permanent location with limited existing infrastructure. The site needed to support large crowds, multiple activations, and complex logistics, while meeting strict health, safety, and planning regulations.
Approach
HPW Architecture led the strategic site planning, developing a scalable layout that optimised crowd flow, access points, and zoning across the event footprint. Their approach focused on balancing capacity, safety, and commercial activation space, ensuring the site could handle peak demand without congestion.
dRAW Architecture translated the masterplan into detailed technical drawings and documentation, covering temporary structures, service routes, and compliance requirements. Using BIM and 3D modelling, they enabled accurate planning of utilities such as power, water, and lighting infrastructure.
Close coordination with production and operational teams ensured the design aligned with real-world delivery constraints, allowing for efficient installation and de-rig.
Outcome
A fully compliant, high-performing temporary event site delivered on schedule, with strong operational flow and minimal disruption during both build and live phases.
